How do I set up my PW550 Outdoor Router?
Setting up your PW550 outdoor router involves the following steps:
- Insert the SIM card into the router
- A wireless broadband data plan must be added to your SIM card for broadband connectivity. The SIM must be provisioned by the carrier. Contact your carrier for details about selecting a data plan and about the process for provisioning your SIM.
- Connect the router to a power source.
Connect the PoE cable (White color) in PW550 and with “Gigabit PoE”. - Connect the LAN cable (Yellow color) with “Gigabit PoE” and with the Computer/Laptop/ TV etc.
- Your Computer/Laptop/ TV should be connected to the Internet and solid “Blue” Led light will be ON under your PW550.

The PW550 can connect to the Internet via the Ethernet LAN. There is a LAN port on the “Gigabit PoE” that can be used as a LAN connection point.

Is it possible to connect this device to a PoE switch instead of the PoE injector?
Most PoE switch support IEEE802.3af/802.3at. The PW550 only supports Passive PoE, not IEEE802.3af/802.3at.
If the PoE Switch supports Passive PoE, then you can attempt to see if the PW550 will power on using 24V/1A.
